Instrument Rating

The instrument rating is issued so pilots can fly into weather which is below VFR [Visual Flight Rules]. This allows a pilot to fly through clouds or land in reduced visibility. This rating is absolutely essential for airlines and corporate operators to operate in almost all kinds of weather.

Pre-requisites:

Applicant must have a Private Pilot License or higher.

Applicant must have a valid Category 3 medical or higher.
